Module 3: Fire Safety and Casualty Evacuation
There are 3 types of fire extinguisher.
Type 1: Water Pressurised Fire extinguisher.
Type 2: Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fire Extinguisher.
Type 3: Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher.
To use a fire extinguisher,
1) Carry the extinguisher to the place of fire
2) Pull the safety pin
3) Press the lever
4)Direct the jet at the base of the fire
5) extinguish the fire.
There are also methods of extinguishing fire such as:
Cooling - To limit tempreture or heat
-Use water hose
-Use water bucket
-Use water type extinguisher.
Smothering - To limit or remove oxygen near the fire
-Use sand
-Use wet blanket
-use beater
-Use dry chemical powder such as CO2 Extinguisher.
Starvation - To limit fuel for the fire
-Remove the fuel that is supporting the fire.
Module 4: Emergency Procedures
If there is a flood and you are...
At Home

-Stay put but be ready to evacuate immediately if the Police advise you to do so.

-If you think it is dangerous to remain at home, contact the Police (giving name and address) for assistance and evacuate immediately.

-Move to higher ground away from open areas, streams and storm drains.

-Switch on the radio for updates from the authorities.
In a Car...
-Be alert to signs of flooding.

-Do not drive around barricades as they are put up for your safety.

-If your car stalls in rapidly rising waters, abandon it immediately and try to get to higher ground.

-Call the SCDF / Police if help is needed.

Today went to CDC and we sat there so so long... they gone through 5 modules together with us!
First Module: First Aid
Our instructor was so funny and taught us on how to wrap casualty using bandage and David was being the guniea pig and got wrapped up like a mummy!
Second module: CPR
The instructor told us, taught us how to do a CPR, like:
Step 1: Tap on the casualty's shoulder lightly, if there is no response, do:
Step 2: Press on the casualty's shoulder, which is known that will be painful and if the casualty still does not response, do the A,B,C:
Step 3: A- Airway, put four fingers (not including your thumb) on the casualty's forehead and two fingers (middle finger and index finger) onto the casualty's chin, then tilt the casualty's head gently to open the airway, next look for any food that is stuck inside, if there is, use your finger to take the food out and if there's liquid in the casualty, tilt the casualty's head until it is facing you and use your finger to dig the liquid out.
Step 4: B-Breathing, to check if the victim is breathing, place your ear onto the casualty's mouth and nose while maintaining an open airway, there are wrong ideas of putting fingers to the nose as the casualty's breath might be too weak to be felt, then look for the chest rishing and falling.
Step 5: If there are no spontaneous breathing, perform mouth and mouth ventilation by pinching the casualty's nose to prevent air from escaping through the nose. Give 2 short breath until you see the chest rising, and have 2 short breaths after 5 counts (e.g: Blow 2 a thousand, 3 a thousand, 4 a thousand, 5 a thousand, Blow) Each count is one second and do it continuously for 12 times.
Step 6: With the head lifted, check for the casualty's pulse. Put the four fingers on the fore head again and put the two fingers to feel the pulse by putting the two fingers onto the side of the neck, apply gentle pressure to feel the pulse for up to 10 seconds.
Step 7: If the casualty shows no sign of life, start with CPR, place your middle finger on the rib margin and place your another palm right beside (right side) Of your middle finger, not beside your index finger, interlock both of your palms and give this timing and push your palms down during each timing, the timing goes:
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 10
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 15
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 20
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 25
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 30
After 30 times, blow two short breaths and this is counted and 1 cycle. Perform 5 of these cycles and if the casualty wakes up during these five cycles, stop immediately and check for CBA, check the pulse, if it had not returned, redo CPR, if it has, check breathing, if it have not returned, perform step 5 again and, if both pulse and breathing had returned, place the casualty in a recovery position and maintain an opened airway.
Continue monitoring both breathing and pulse every few minutes as these can stop suddenly.

Kenny called me in the morning, made me talk to him on my handphone and told me a game that I am not interested in (3 Kingdom) -.-" and kept on talking... and talking... I almost fell asleep, but the good thing is, after I woke up, I rushed over to my laptop and started playing with Clemant on Soldier Front XD
Later this evening, I went out to Bukit Timah and later round the parts of Singapore and back to Jurong West. I spent some time writing my WOC that have to be submitted tomorrow and tomorrow we are going to CDC at Teck Whye, better rest, it's gonna be a long day tomorrow...

There's no sun today, I mean, there's Sun, but just cloudy which blocked some of the Sun's light.
As I was not going out with my parents, I spent some of the morning playing games, swee bo! But I was dragged out again in the afternoon, and we went to Qian Hu Fish Farm, and the owner as stated in the reader's digest is Kenny Yap XD, next we went to ten mile junction and... brought a black watch and some things that we need.
I spent the rest of my afternoon playing my games once again and blogging and... Signing off!

Today was having a great time at home playing for 3-4 hours.
It was a Saturday and have nothing to do, many of my times were just playing games and watching television.
Nothing much for today, sup on to a little cheer!

School was as per normal...
Nothing special...
I put my tie on Henrick's table and I thought I've lost it...
Sorry Menda need you to do the morning duty all by yourself!
So I went around, with Alan to the toilet to do duty, and the peoples inside will automatically get out of the toilet during second bell. Later, at recess duty, Menda and Xian Chun...
And one more thing, Miss Mok isn't in school today so we've got 4 periods of freedom! Like real... A relief teacher came in and we have to do the assignment...
Music was fun, Xian Chun, Lin Hang, Wee Seong and Yiu Tung was sitting around me and playing the last stand... However, I thought NPCC is going to be a long day again, but it was promotion test, Our Sirs checked our uniforms, graded our marks, and also tested us on our commands, Morgan, Fadil and me took so much turns to be a timer and finally got a ride home with Martin and Clement, our sirs also told us that there will be a promotion test again on the week after next week, better go and study.
